“Where was God?” Helping with Spiritual Questions

| Description: | Often those healing from sexual trauma bring up complex, intense, and emotional questions that are primarily spiritual. As therapists and others in the helping professions, we want to help the survivor deal with those questions, but we may feel unprepared and reluctant to work in unfamiliar territory. This workshop is designed to help you become familiar with and develop skills to be supportive of a survivor struggling with spiritual questions, such as, "Where was God?" The workshop intends to be useful to all faith perspectives, even those who wonder about the meaning of suffering outside the context of any particular faith. |
