Shadows of the Past is the DC Rape Crisis Center's (DCRCC) annual professional development workshop series for mental health practitioners including social workers, psychologists, counselors and case managers. These workshops provide mental health professionals with knowledge, skills and tools to work effectively with survivors of sexual violence.

This year's workshop series will focus on the importance of addressing the mind, body and spiritual aspects of healing from sexual violence. Social work and continuing education units (CEU) are available. Sign language interpretation will be available upon request.

Registration and Fees

• Professional Rate: $65.00 per workshop ($55.00 if registered by 3.31.08)
• Student rate: $20.00 per workshop
• CEU Processing Fee: Please add $5.00 to the fee to receive CEU credit. CEU credit will be available for social workers and counselors) Participants will only pay CEU fees per day not per workshop.

Discounts

• Register for more than one workshop and receive a 10% discount.
• Receive a 20% discount when a group of 3 participants register from one organization or school.

Cancellations

• Cancellations made at least five business days in advance of the workshop date will be honored, minus a $10.00 administrative fee.

All workshops (with the exception of the April 25th workshop) are held at The Charles Sumner School, Museum and Archives, 1201 17th Street, NW in Washington, DC. It is located on the corner of 17th and M Streets, NW. The closest metro station is Farragut North. Workshops on April 25th will be held at the DC Rape Crisis Center. Please call for the address.
